Thakadu Game Lodge was established in 1993 by developing 700 ha of indigenous busch veld in an enclosed nature conservation area.
A further 40 000 ha is available for hunting. Since then, the Lodge has been host of many local and overseas clients, whose needs have been catered for by a Professional Hunter, Outfitter and a fully trained staff.
The Owner/Professional Hunter is fluent in German, Polish, English and Dutch. The Lodge established a Taxidermy in 1999, and continues to satisfy and give good memories to all its customers.

Health and climate

South Africa has some world class hospitals, and other medical facilities that lies in close proximity to Thakadu Game Lodge,
which is situated in the Limpopo Province, a Malaria free area. Therefore no precautions need to be taken. Nor is there any need for any immunization.
If you have any allergies or health complications, please bring your own medicine or prescriptions. The Limpopo Province's mild winters and hot summers are ideal for game viewing and provide excellent conditions for hunting and outdoor activities. Please wear comfortable clothing, protective head gear and apply sun-protecting lotions.
